Marc Jacobs a/w campaign

Yes I know it's June but Fashion is ahead of the game... and Marc Jacobs has announced their latest faces for their new campaign! It sees a combination of famous Hollywood faces posing in heavily moody winter clothing in front of a Vreeland red backdrop.
After already arriving with this megastar at the Met Gala, it was clearly an indication that something must be brewing (and it was!), Marc Jacobs announced their first campaign star (on Instagram) was to be no other than pop-star Cher. The other eclectic celebrity line up include: Willow Smith, Debi Mazar, Red Hot Chili Peppers' frontman Anthony Kiedis and his son Everly Bear, Winona Ryder, Daisy Lowe and sister Betty.
With many of the separate images being released and advertised on Instagram over the last month, the cohesive unit can convey that advertising this season certainly has a family aesthetic (albeit an eccentric one too). From 69 year old Cher to 9 year old Betty Lowe, it certainly lends to the family vibe. Jacobs' muse for this season was the infamous Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, perhaps explaining why he chose such equally fearless spokesmodels.
Tell me what you think of this new campaign...

Kendall Jenner x Karl Lagerfeld

So the new Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2015 campaign has been released and of course it features no other than, "rising-top-model", Kendall Jenner (along with his other models-of-the-moment: Sascha Luss, Ming Xi, Baptise Giabiconi).
The campaign is titled "Karl Is Kolor" (which just seems like a bad tachy business subsidiary of one of the Kardashian's endorsements) and features his new brightly hued accessories. Personally, it looks like the editor got far too excited with Photoshop and thought black and white with the highly infused colours of the accessories would be a great combo, but really it looks as though a year eight student just googled 'cool photoshop edits' and won the competition. I find it weird how one such as Karl Lagerfeld who has quite frankly transformed Chanel, and been the beneficial force behind its success today, can create his own line so much worse and make it seem as though it's about ten to fifteen years behind everyone else at that!
Here are some of the campaign images, take a look and tell me what you think...

Alexis Bittar

The new Alexis Bittar campaign sees Iris Apfel and Tavi Gevinson star side by side, sure there's 75 years between them, but they're still both equally as fabulous. Recently, age ain't nothing but a number when it comes to fashion campaigns. As the new Givenchy campaign with Julia Roberts and Joan Didion for Celine show; indicating that finally there has been a slight shift in the typical youth-obsessed industry. This specific fashion campaign stars 93 year-old fashion eccentric, Iris and teen fashion blogger, Tavi, and it specifically targets the industry's inherent ageism quandary (particularly when it comes to models and advertising).
Alexis told WWD that "in terms of the fashion industry, we're selling to women who are predominantly over the age of 35, but we're showing them images of girls who are 19 and retouched"..."For the campaign, we honed in on the essence of strong women who haven't conformed". (and it totally works!! Both these big fashion names have such cool unique styles that they completely depict everything this campaign stands for!)
