For our next brief, the task it to research a new up coming brand that potentially could be 'The Next Big Thing'. You have to write 1500 words why your chosen brand is your chosen brand, what makes it original and likely to succeed. Yet it's not just essay...you have to incorporate images, creative design and thoughtful layout to produce a visual case study.
The brief is rather broad, it isn't confined to exclusively fashion brands, but outdoor, travel, interiors, food; it could even be a service or an app. I think this could be challenging to find a really distinctively individual brand in its market sector, however I think the brief allows us to be creative and explore other areas related to fashion but not fashion specifically.
So far I have been doing further research into the tea brand: Teapigs. Their aim and unique standpoint is that they produce clean healthy tea bags, which contain nothing artificial. Furthermore, they also like to give back, employees are keen to participate in fundraising for charities, but they also help communities that make the tea to improve their living standards. Plus, they were one of the first to design the simplistically transparent yet stylish tea bags, which personally looks really cool, and what's special about their transparent tea bags (tea temples) is that they contain enough space for the leaves to infuse properly, giving you the same taste a real whole leaf tea!
